The Lexicon’s Christmas celebrations commence on Saturday, November 18 2017, at 3.00 pm when entertainers such as Santa’s Hula Hoop Girls, Jester Contact Jugglers, Gold Belles Stilt Walkers and the Acrobatic Elves will be performing throughout the town centre.
Garth Hill College Choir will perform in Princess Square from 5.00 pm in advance of the Forest Snow Queen waving her magical wand to light the Christmas illuminations in Princess Square at 5.30pm.
At the same time, representatives from Bracknell Gymnastics Club, The Lexicon’s Charity of the Year, will make the first coin donation for The Lexicon’s Charity Christmas Tree. In exchange for every donation, the red baubles on the 30 foot high tree will light-up.
The illuminations continue to come alive throughout The Lexicon, with the Forest Snow Queen guiding the Christmas magic from Princess Square down Braccan Walk, to The Avenue and Eagle Lane to finish the festivities by lighting the Christmas tree in Bond Square.
The evening entertainment continues with Bracknell & Wokingham Community Band hosting a Christmas sing-a-long, followed by a festive performance from a local choir, Vocalese.
The illumination starts in Princess Square at 5.30 pm, when to the accompaniment of a choir from Garth Hill College, the Forest Snow Queen will wave her wand to activate the lights before parading through the town centre, lighting-up the avenues as she goes, finishing in Bond Square with the switch-on of The Lexicon’s Christmas tree lights.
Bracknell & Wokingham Community Band will play festive carols and tunes, with everyone invited to join in with a Christmas sing-a-long, followed at 7.30 pm by a festive performance from local choir, Vocalese.
