Introducing Forest Springs

A CELEBRATION OF WATER AT THE LEXICON
Bracknell Forest Council has teamed up with The Lexicon to bring a spectacular ten-day event to the town centre, celebrating water and the important role it plays in everyone’s lives.
Called Forest Springs, the celebration will see The Lexicon transformed into a watery extravaganza with breathtaking art installations and immersive activities running from Wednesday, April 6 to Saturday, April 16 2022.
Star of the show is the world premiere of ‘As Water Falls’, a unique interactive experience that explores our relationship with water using a spectacular digital waterfall.
With the initial sight of a cascading waterfall and the sound of flowing water, visitors will soon realise as they get closer that ‘As Water Falls’ hides a number of exciting surprises. Using state of the art technology and the light from a mobile phone torch, each visitor will create their own unique experience as the waterfall reacts with movement and images.
“It is a major coup for the town centre to be the first to display ‘As Water Falls’,” says Cllr Marc Brunel-Walker, executive member for economic development and regeneration at Bracknell Forest Council. “I can’t wait to experience it myself and I am sure it will be a talking point for many months to come. Forest Springs is the latest in an exciting programme of events held by The Lexicon helping to secure its position as a key regional shopping and leisure location.”
In addition to ‘As Water Falls’ there are a host of other activities and art installations for visitors to The Lexicon to enjoy.
A spectacular canopy of giant blue, gently spinning raindrops and the pitter patter of April showers will greet visitors to Braccan Walk North. And, located in the centre of this breathtaking raindrops display will be an education cube, full of useful facts and information about water and the role it plays in the environment.
On Saturday, April 9 2022, running from 1pm until 8 pm, there will be a musical celebration in Bond Square, featuring an eclectic mix of singers and bands to get everyone’s toes tapping.
Rob Morris, general manager at The Lexicon says: “Forest Springs promises to be an amazing event with something for all the family to enjoy. With so many different aspects on offer, we believe it will keep everyone entertained throughout the Easter holidays. We’ll be unveiling details of all activities and creative sights over the coming weeks so you’ll have plenty of time to plan your visits to The Lexicon.”
Further information about the event will be released in the coming weeks. For more information, please visit the website www.bracknellforestsprings.com and follow: #BracknellForestSprings
