With Christmas less than eight weeks away, The Lexicon Festive Market schedule has been announced.

Opening on Friday November 16 until Christmas Eve, the hand crafted Christmas chalets will be located in Bull Square and the top of the High Street (near Boots and Primark). The fifteen chalets will be open daily from 10am (11am on Sundays) until 6pm.

Visitors to The Lexicon can take advantage of a range of truly festive food and drink, as well as a range of unique Christmas gifts.

Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon says: “We are really excited to celebrate our second Christmas at The Lexicon, starting with The Lexicon Festive Market. It’s a great opportunity to offer our customers even more choice, all while bringing Christmas cheer to the town centre!”

What’s on the menu? Choose from:

  2. Local ales at the bar
  3. Traditional German bratwurst
  4. Churros
  5. Donuts and specialist hot chocolate
  6. Olives and nuts

Buying for someone special? Choose from:

  1. Handmade wooden gifts
  2. Chocolate Kisses
  3. Personalised Christmas decorations
  4. Festive cheese
  5. Woollen gifts
  6. Speciality wine and gin
  7. Bath bombs
  8. Handmade wreaths, centrepieces, candles

And for younger visitors, there will also be a Children's Christmas train offering rides to get everyone in the mood for Christmas!

Cllr Marc Brunel-Walker, executive member for economic development and regeneration, said: “The Christmas market at The Lexicon will be a welcome addition to the town centre, offering a range of different and niche gifts and goodies to further complement the town’s usual market. It will also add a charming and festive feel to our town centre as we head in to the Christmas season.”
