Once upon a time, family lifestyle blogger and mum of two, Melanie Kentish, was invited to take some time out of her very busy schedule and sample the fairytale shopping delights of The Lexicon, Bracknell, child-free!
Read on to find out what she discovered…
Let’s get started
So many new stores and restaurants have opened – every time I go to The Lexicon there is something new to discover. I never have time to fit in everything I want to do – and that’s the sign of a really good day out.
Any decent shopping trail starts with a coffee for brekkie and this one’s no different. Coffee Barker does really good coffee.
Dress to impress
I’m starting a new job, so Fenwick is the obvious place to go for great workwear. I bought a dress and a leather jacket from the AllSaints concession, and had a little dance in the changing room to celebrate.
If money was no object, I’d spend all my time in Fenwick. They have everything you need, from hair and makeup through to clothing and home accessories. Makeup from Laura Mercier, clothes from AllSaints, candles from Jo Malone…my wish list goes on and on. I always find things I love here.
Variety is the spice of life
Beyond Fenwick, I like Next for good value clothes for kids, Topshop for essentials and H&M for really good quality (and cheap!) denim. Flying Tiger is fab for cool little bits for the house and Joules has some really quirky baby stuff. Love it!
The Lexicon offers a stress-free experience, with easy parking and nicely laid out shops which are fully pedestrianized. I find it an amazing place to take the whole family without any worries. There is something for everyone and plenty of great places to eat. Such a welcome addition to Bracknell.
Best for miles
Whether you’re catching up with friends, shopping or just grabbing a coffee, The Lexicon is the place to be. I had an awesome day – so much fun. I’m yet to book a personal shopping experience, but the fact that they’re on offer here means it really is the best shopping location for miles around.
