As the marriage of Prince Harry and Ms Meghan Markle took place just down the road, in Windsor on Saturday 19 May 2018, The Lexicon was joined by more than four hundred spectators to watch the wedding live in Bracknell town centre.
Visitors to The Lexicon were able to sit on the giant steps to view the spectacular Royal Wedding on an enormous 30 x 18 foot screen located in Bond Square (near Waitrose).
A red double-decker bus was also in attendance at the event, selling themed cocktails and strawberries and cream, while children created Royal crowns and decorated cupcakes.
Many messages were also left by members of the public in a commemorative congratulations book which will be delivered to Windsor Castle for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon said: “Screening the Royal Wedding live from The Lexicon was a great success with a fantastic patriotic buzz felt around the whole town centre.
“Thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday and congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
