Visitors to The Lexicon during half term week, took full advantage of the fabulous land train, The Lexicon Express, as it trundled around the town centre picking up and dropping off passengers at four temporary train stops.

The Lexicon Express conductor collected a fantastic £1,731 for The Lexicon’s Charity of the Year, Bracknell Gymnastics Club.

Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon says: “We were delighted that people had so much fun on The Lexicon Express and would like to thank everyone for their kind donations. It is definitely something we will look to bring back to The Lexicon in the future.”

Dr Peter Tranckle, club manager at Bracknell Gymnastics Club says: “We have been bowled over by people’s generosity. We will use the money raised to help our gymnasts meet the travel and accommodation costs when attending the European Championships in October.”

Bracknell Gymnastics Club uses gymnastics as an opportunity to develop health and wellbeing, where everyone can participate and anyone can be inspired to achieve their dreams.

As the country’s highest performing club for TeamGym, boasting 12 members of the current British team and three British title holding teams within the club.
