Paws at The Lexicon

Friday 22 May – Monday 1 June 2026 

Get ready for wagging tails and pawsome fun with Paws at The Lexicon this May half‑term. The town centre will be transformed into a celebration of all things canine, with free activities and interactive experiences for all ages. Funds raised throughout the event will support Guide Dogs, a locally based charity.

On Saturday 30 May, come and see Marshall from PAW Patrol in Princess Square at intervals throughout the day. Meet the loveable fire pup in his iconic red uniform, snap a photo, and join in the excitement as he makes special appearances at intervals throughout the day.

 All activities are free and take place between 11.00am and 4.00pm.

Dog agility course 

Thursday 28 and Friday 29 May | Princess Square (subject to the weather)

Due to the scorching hot weather, the dog agility course won't take place on Tuesday 26 or Wednesday 27 May, and subject to the weather we hope this will take place on Thursday 28 or Friday 29 May in Princess Square.

Pawsome trail and some fab prizes to be won . . .

Families can take part in a free trail across The Lexicon, spotting pups in shop windows along the way.

• Complete the trail
• Post it into a designated boxes outside Select, Smiggle and Newbie
• Be in with a chance to win some gift cards from The Lexicon

- Face painting on The Avenue (outside Superdry)
- Bring your dog to participate in Agility Course in Princess Square (subject to the weather)

- Bring your dog to participate in Agility Course in Princess Square (subject to the weather)
- Storytime in Waterstones at 11am - The Good Deeds Dogs (everyone is welcome including your dog!)

Saturday 30 May
- Face painting on The Avenue (outside Superdry)
- Meet Guide Dogs volunteers with their amazing four‑legged friends in Princess Square 
- See Marshall from PAW Patrol at intervals throughout the day in Princess Square
