The Lexicon and Bracknell Forest Council are putting together a time capsule to mark the historic occasion of The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and are seeking suggestions on items that should be included.

The time capsule will represent a snapshot in time for future generations to discover and enjoy.

A new commemorative bench will also be unveiled in Bond Square later this month.

The Fashion Pod on Braccan Walk North has received a Coronation makeover. Visitors to The Lexicon can count the number of crowns for a chance to win a £75 gift voucher from Fuego in-store at Fenwick.

On Saturday, May 6, 2023, visitors are invited to Bond Square to watch the Coronation Ceremony on a live screen at 11.00 am, followed by live music and dance until 7.00 pm.

On Sunday, May 7, 2023, a Tea Dance will be held in Princess Square from 11am to 12noon and 2pm to 3pm.

Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon says:

“We are delighted to mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III with a range of exciting community activities. We believe that the King’s Coronation is a great opportunity for the local community to come together at The Lexicon and collectively celebrate and create lasting memories.”

Susan Halliwell, chief executive of Bracknell Forest Council, says:
