The Lexicon will be holding its first ever gaming event, GAME ON!, during October half term. This free event will see thirteen gaming stations set up in Princess Square, where people can play their favourite games or try something new when booking their two-hour slot. The two-hour slot allows for a "playing time" of about 1h45m.
Designed to be a family event for all ages, there will be a range of consoles from NES to PS5, retro games such as Pac Man to the very latest releases such as FC24, and everything in between.
In addition, on Saturday 28 October, Cineworld will host a free gaming day, so families can play video games on a Cinema screen, with plenty of seats for friends and family to observe the action. When attending your pre-booked slot at GAME ON! you can collect a Cineworld access pass, these will be available from Friday 20 October on a first come first served basis, places will be limited.
Everyone who books a slot will be in with the chance of winning some fabulous prizes sponsored by CEX, Cineworld, Game (situated within Sports Direct) and Joypad.
A new games area for little ones will also be launched in Princess Square, featuring simple to enjoy games such as snakes & ladders, hop-scotch and ‘the floor is lava ’ A digital dice can be found here.
GAME ON! will be managed by Joypad, an experienced gaming specialist which has been running gaming events, large and small for more than a decade.
