Bracknell Community Day 2020 - POSTPONED
Published 26 March 2020
Saturday 20 June 2020In light of the unprecedented situation presented by COVID-19, we have decided to postpone the 3rd Bracknell Community Day organised in association with Easthampstead Rotary Club, Involve, Bracknell Forest Council and The Lexicon.
This decision was not taken lightly but public health must be a priority. We are closely following government and NHS guidelines and we will re-arrange a similar activity later in the year, when appropriate and safe to do so.
Last year in June we celebrated Bracknell Community Day with over 20 performances of music, song and dance by local voluntary and youth groups, and more than 20 stalls including one celebrating the 70th anniversary of Bracknell.
From 11am to 4pm visitors were treated to performances from Morris Dancers, young musicians, line dancers, singers and a brass band, in Bond Square (Waitrose) as well as in Bull Square opposite The Bull.
There was also the opportunity for visitors to find out more about local voluntary and activity groups who will be showcasing their work from more than 15 stalls on the day.
Hosted by the Easthampstead Rotarians and Involve, Bracknell Community Day 2019 supported The WAYZ, Thames Hospice, Thames Valley Air Ambulance, and involve Community Services.
