Bracknell Businesses to seek top local talent at Jobs Fair

Hundreds of vacancies, apprenticeships and training opportunities will be showcased by Bracknell businesses seeking local talent at an upcoming Jobs Fair.

Bracknell Business Improvement District (BID) has teamed up with The Lexicon for the second year to run the large-scale event aimed at supporting businesses in their quest for staff and to help more candidates into employment.

The Bracknell Jobs Fair will be held on Thursday 29 June in Princess Square, at The Lexicon, with attendees able to drop in anytime between 10am - 3pm.

There will be a host of roles on the Bracknell Southern and Western business areas, as well as The Lexicon, and jobs and training will cover everything from teaching and school roles, home care, sales, marketing, and HR to driving jobs, retail, hospitality, and facilities.

Sean Griffin, Bracknell BID Manager, said:
“We had great success from last year’s Jobs Fair, so we’re excited to be joining forces with The Lexicon to bring the event back to the town once again.

“The jobs will be varied and aimed at everyone from school leavers and graduates through to experienced hires, so we know that there will be something for everybody. It’s a chance for businesses to promote their fantastic employment opportunities in the area, and also a chance for the BID to support relationships between those businesses seeking to improve staff recruitment, training, and skills.

“We’d like to say a big thanks to The Lexicon for partnering with the BID for this event, and thanks to careers charity Adviza, Bracknell Forest Council and DWP who are supporting the Jobs Fair.”

Attendees will be able to receive career advice and support from National Careers Service and Adviza to help build their confidence and interview skills, and gain CV advice.

Gavin Vidler, Deputy-General Manager at The Lexicon added:
“We are delighted to be hosting Bracknell Jobs Fair again this year.  In addition to other businesses based in the borough, The Lexicon comprising of more than 150 shops, restaurants and services, also has a wide variety of job and career opportunities available.

“We will be running our CV concierge desk again this year, representing our retailers and restaurants, so visitors can drop off CVs, and we can deliver them confidentially to businesses that are hiring.”

Local exhibitors include Bracknell Forest Council, Boehringer Ingelheim, TechnoGym, Enterprise Rent a Car, Ozone Ice Rink, ABM Facility Services, Cineworld, TEKsystems and many others.

There will be up to 25 stands at the free event including BID member businesses as well as companies that are based at The Lexicon. The Jobs Fair is open to all skill levels and working age groups looking for job vacancies in Bracknell.

More participating businesses will be announced and up-to-date job vacancies will be available. For more information visit www.bracknellbid.co.uk/bracknell-jobs-fair/
