Local charities and community groups will have the opportunity to host promotions and raise awareness of their cause within the local community, as part of a new initiative - The Lexicon Charity and Community Cart.
Offering not-for-profit organisations in the Borough of Bracknell a free promotional space, the Charity and Community Cart is specifically designed to incorporate leaflets, posters and storage – allowing groups to create a bespoke space. And located in a designated area on Braccan Walk South, the cart will also benefit from a steady footfall, and shelter in bad weather.
Rob Morris, general manager at The Lexicon says: “The Lexicon is in the heart of the community, has supported a number of charity initiatives since opening, most notably, our work with Bracknell Gymnastics Club as our Charity of the Year.
“We are now delighted to announce this new initiative to support the great work of charities and groups throughout the Borough of Bracknell, and look forward to welcoming them to the town centre”.
The Charity and Community Cart scheme launched recently and advance bookings are being accepted now.
Cllr Alvin Finch, Mayor of the Borough of Bracknell Forest, said: “I was thrilled to be part of the launch of the Charity and Community Cart and am grateful to The Lexicon for allowing my chosen charity, Bracknell Mencap, to be the first official organisation to use the Cart. It is a great way to raise awareness about all the wonderful charity and community work in the borough.”
