The Lexicon has a fun and educational May Half Term planned with its Bee Aware Week running from Saturday 27 May to Sunday 4 June 2023.
BEE Trail
Running all week is a free trail where visitors can search for flowers and bee facts hidden around the town centre for a chance to win one of three Bee hampers filled with a variety of products from retailers within The Lexicon.
BEE Craft
Little Muddy Boots, will be running classes every weekday in Princess Square which will be fun filled with craft, planting and will teach children all about the importance of bees and pollinators and the vital role they play in our lives. The daily sessions will run from Monday 29 May through to Friday 2 June 2023 for children aged 1-8 years and cost just £4 per session. Each child will be given a craft to take home with them as well as a Bee Bomb and notebook from The Lexicon. There are limited spaces so do book early.
BEE Storytelling
On Wednesday 31 May and Friday 2 June 2023, Jenny Bailey, author of Phoebe the Bee, will be holding bookable storytelling sessions in Fenwick, Waterstones and at Bracknell Library at 11am; 12noon: 2pm and 3pm.
Each season lasts about 20 minutes and each child will receive a free colouring sheet from the book and a notebook from The Lexicon. Phoebe's story is an educational tale about a worker bee who through her courage and determination manages to save the hive and her family when her natural environment is threatened. Please only book for children attending the storytelling, parents will be required to stand.
BEE Sow Grow Sounds
On Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June, Sow Grow Sounds from CBBC Blue Peter will be bringing together the sowing of wildflower seeds, education, music, fun and games in Union Square (opposite Boots) from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 3 June and from 11am to 5pm on Sunday 4 June. This free activity is suitable for all the family.

Each adult ordering a main course from the the la carte menu can claim a free kids meal from our Niños menu for an accompanying child, on the above dates only. Kids meal includes choice of a main, 2 sides and a dessert.
